Sri Lanka's top singer/songwriter Nimal Mendis

Nimal Mendis is one of Sri Lanka's top singer/songwriters. He is one of a handful of Sri Lankan pop musicians ever to appear on BBC TV's 'Top of the Pops.' Nimal is a Christian. Nimal Mendis was 'discovered' by Radio Ceylon in the 1950s, he went on to become an international musician. His music has won several awards and the SLBC still play his music.
